Auto-purge of jobs not happening correctly

Post by kamalshil »

Hi
We have recently migrated from DS 8.5 to DS 8.7
We have multiple multi-instance jobs running in parallel.

Till now in DS 8.5 we had setting to keep only log older than 2 days. Which was achieved by setting a property in using Administrator - > logs -> older than (days) -> set to 2.

Now we did the same setting in 8.7 but its not deleting the logs older than 2 days. Jobs are in Finished status then also this property is working.

Do we need to re-import or compile whole project to make this changes take place in DS8.7 this property was missed by admin to set and was done after we had executed job for 1 week or are we missing something ?

There is no change in behaviour. Job logs are purged only if the job finished with a status of DSJS.RUNOK or DSJS.RUNWARN. If the job aborts, the log is not purged.

Yes, due to the timing, the simplest way to have all existing jobs pick up the project level auto-purge setting change would be to export and re-import everything. There are several posts on this topic.
