Moving Services Tier

Our topology has WAS on a separate machine from the engine tier machines. We've now sourced additional hardware and would like to make some changes to exploit the same.

1. Is it possible to move WAS to a different machine and, if so, what is involved in terms of (for example) updating entries in the metadata repository?

2. Is it possible to convert a stand-alone WAS to a WAS cluster so that high-availability can be implemented, ideally without uninstalling the stand-alone instance (which would become one of the machines in the cluster)?
