Business glossary anywhere on Mac and Ms Office

Post by hitmanthesilentassasin »

Hi,

Does anyone know if Business glossary anywhere could be installed on Mac machines? and also, does Business glossary get integrated within MS office?

Thanks,

There is no Mac client - but it has an API so you could write one. IBM has a Developerworks article demonstrating how to build your own term finder widget. With MS Office the BG Anywhere works the same as with a PDF or Notes - you highlight one or more words and type the hot key and the glossary pops up with a search on whatever is highlighted. If you want to do more than that from within Office use the API. I'm sure you could work out some way to make Excel an editor of Glossary content.

....and a Developer Works article was published for an Android BG client and an iOS client is on its way. I was demoing the iOS client at IOD on an iPad.
