What Selection to make in PS for unique values

Hi guys,
we have code tables which have things like
code, sdesc, ldesc.

If course, for each row each field is unique and in the column analysis the 'all distinct values' and 'unique' boxes are ticked in the value side and the 'chosen' side.


I've been asked whether we should uncheck the tick boxes on the 'chosen' side for these things as there is no 'rule' that needs to be defined to say that these values are unique or distinct.

My 'guess' is that we should just leave them as they are (ticked) because when it comes to primary key analysis we will select the code as the primary key, we won't select unique constraints on the descriptions...

But I am not experienced with PS so I am wondering what other folks do.
