Any way to export rules to Excel?

Is there any way to export a data rule's properties - bindings, joins, output content, output table, etc. - for use outside IA, such as into Excel? And hopefully something that can do entire projects, i.e., multiple rules.

I don't know of any such feature within IA but outside of it, say in IGC?

You can export data rule properties from IGC into Excel. I've done that before just to get a document that lists all the data rule names. I'm not sure if all the other details are available from IGC or not. I know that the data rule definition / logic is visible from IGC.

Much appreciated! We will try to pull as much info as IGC can provide.

I have not used FastTrack before. What is it called now in v11.5?

You can use the api to extract almost anything from IA including the data rules and data rule definitions to xml and in some cases csv as well.

Here's the link:

Hope that helps,
Bob.

its still fasttrack. But if your team isnt using it, it won't help, its a lot of work to maintain the mappings. We use it as storage for our source to target mappings and rules, but have had no luck with its job automation features etc. Its just a big excel sheet for us, really.

No, UCDI, we're not using FT. But thanks for the great info.

Thanks, Bob. IAAdmin looks promising; we'll certainly look into it.
