Can not view report on Information Analyzer 9.1

Post by xinhuang66 »

Column analysis is running ok, no issue at all. Analysis data can also be viewed in IA.

However, when use report menu and try to generate report and view it, it pops up errors.

The key error message is

; nested exception is: com.ascential.acs.reporting.ReportingException: Following parameter has no value or has an invalid value(null/empty): [ColumnSummaryStatistics.parameter.dataCollection.displayName]

Tried a few options here, such as reset report folder, delete unix folder, etc. None of them helped.

Anyone has an idea ?

Try checking your browser configuration according to this link: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/iisin ... ureIE.html

So, I have no clue.

1) Tried to check posts here, find a few related ones, talking about
/tmp/informationserver folder permissions, ownership, tried and fail.

2) Talked to IBM, they suggested to change the report workspace folder, tried and failed.

3) Change brower setting, failed too.

Maybe I will try to install fix pack to upgrade to 9.1.2 to see how it goes.

Sorted it out. It is a source DB issue.

Since I am testing it, so I used a mySQL DB. Don't know why, There is no schema name in mySQL DB. That is why IA keep on complaining DisplayName is NULL.

I changed a DB2 source DB, it is working well now.

Not all database types are supported for IADB.
