column Analysis for more than 255 characters in length

Hi

When I tried to run column analysis on other machine it fails for columns greater than 255 characters in length.Is there any way in Information analyzer
to say do only column analysis for first 254 characters only.

Check the option in the Analysis Settings tab to allow IA to do this.

The check box to which Stuart refers appears in the dialog where you set up and submit the job run for Column Analysis. By default it is unchecked to save resources that are needed to compare large strings.

HI

Are you talking about check box include columns with lenght over 512 characters in Analysis setting tab.

But this one is for over 512 characters but I am getting error for over 255 characters in length
