IA 8.7 - ODBC Connector VS. Oracle Connector
IA 8.7 - ODBC Connector VS. Oracle Connector
I've a question about the connectors of ODBC and Oracle. Could anyone tell me which connector I should choose to have better performance in IA? What is the difference between ODBC Connector vs. Oracle Connector?

ODBC Connector uses ODBC protocols, and needs to load an ODBC driver (maybe) which makes calls via the Oracle OCI. The Oracle Connector invokes the Oracle OCI functions directly.
ODBC also has to translate between its "standard" data types and Oracle idiosyncratic data types.
On these bases, the Oracle Connector should be preferred when connecting to Oracle data sources.
