Can IBM Information Analyzer read DataStage metadata?

Post by leomauer »

I am trying to find out how to make the file/table definitions that have already been imported to DataStage visible in Information Analyzer. Is it even possible? I thought it is, but can't find how.
My major interest is to make already defined sequential file layouts available in Information Analyzer.

To be visible in IA they must be shared table definitions. In general table definitions imported using DataStage are not shared (the exception, possibly, being when the Connector Import Wizard is used). You need to use the Shared Table Creation Wizard in DataStage Designer client to convert local table definitions to shared table definitions.
