Retain Datasets disabled

Post by ayyappadas »

We are running Information Analyzer version 8.7 on Red Hat Linux OS. When I pull up column analysis pane in the user interface, I am able to set Retain Scripts, but the Retain Datasets is disabled. What could be the reason? What configuration changes would enable it?

If I understand correctly, it was intentionally greyed out to remove that capability. Is there a reason you wanted to retain the temporary data sets?

Thanks for your response. I was curious about the structure of the datasets and so wanted to look at it.

Hi,

Data sets are a fantastic feature In Information Server. They are part of the massively parallel capability provided by the engine. The InfoCenter has a lot of great information. For example: this Information Center topic.
