Importing metadata from xmeta database

This forum contains ProfileStage posts and now focuses at newer versions Infosphere Information Analyzer.

Importing metadata from xmeta database

During the metadata import process I have identified tables in the xmeta database.

Does it use disk space to import these tables to use with Information Analyzer?

Yes, the imported metadata have to be stored in "the usual place" for IA; it does not just link to the original system tables.
