Profilestage Capacity

Hi,

Are there any metrics we can use to plan when and how to schedule jobs?

We're handling data migration from many smaller systems into one. We have been continually running into errors when running many (approximately 8-10) column and table analysis jobs concurrently. What is the capacity of ProfileStage to run many jobs, from different client machines, at once?

How long is a piece of string? The answer to your question is that it is, more than anything, a function of the resources available on the server where ProfileStage is running. For example, with four CPUs and 16GB of memory you will be able to run far more than with one CPU and 2GB of memory.
