Can DSTX maintain session state when it sources data from Webservices?

Not sure I understand your question.

We use the Event Agent for our web related traffic. Theres a session timeout setting. So, the agent will accept properly addressed responses accordingly.

Within the ini file there are http, ftp and other settings you can use to keep connections open.

I don't know how it would interact with other Websphere products but there's probably something in the documentation.
