Concatenation problem.

Post by admin »

Hi Anbu,

if the List in the order it is no problem, while using the stage variables.
You take one variable for the number, one for to concatinate and one for to
check the numberswitch it the number switches it is true and if not it is
false.

You write to the target table only when the switch is true.

You should add a dummyline to you source table as last line otherwise you
don't get the last info to target table.

Please let us know, if it worked.

Wolfgang

Hi DS Gurus,

We are using DS 7 on WinNT. I am facing a problem in implementing specific
requirement.

In my source file I have two columns, Countrycode and Countryname. In target
I need to concatanate the Countryname
values based on the Countrycode.

Following is the structure of my source file

Coutrycode,Countryname
100, India
100, US
100, Germany
101,England
101,Australia

In the target I need to populate data as follows.

Countrycode, Countryname
100,India US Germany
101,England Australia

I already tried Pivotal stage and Row Merger stages. But I didnt get
expected results.
How can I achieve this? Kindly revert with your suggestions.

Cheers,
Anbu
