1- Business Objects, for example, permits modification of generated =
SQL
2- Is there a list of DS functions (like DSSetParam), and =
corresponding documentation anywhere?

Nope. If you could change the job control that the GUI created, the GUI
wouldn't reflect it and would no longer be usable (you'd have to =
maintain
the job control).

This is akin to not being able to change the source code created by
DataStage when you compile a job. If you could change the source code, =
the
GUI would become unusable to maintain the jobs.
(Technically, you can see and change the source if you wish, but to no =
avail
since it is only compiled via the GUI... keeps us from shooting =
ourselves in
the foot.)

If the job sequence does some cool things you like, but you need to add =
to
it, I suppose you could cut and paste the job control from the sequence =
into
the job control for a job. And then modify/maintain it there.
But, take a close look at the job control generated by the sequencer... =
you
may not want to maintain it.
