Extraction problem with Oracle 9i and Datastage 5.2

We just upgraded our database to 9i from 8.1.x, and now I am having problem
with my OCI/ODBC extract.

It is a very simple job

OCI -> Transformer -> Sequential File

The job aborts after 12000000 millions rows (more or less), with a
mysterious message:

Abnormal termination of stage SLAMPRR3MNTHL103..T1_BulkXfm detected

Is there a known issue with using Oracle 9i and DS 5.2? Any new special
parameter in 9i?
