We are currently staffing for multiple DataStage Analyst/Developer
positions. We also pay referral fees if your candidate is selected. Travel

The role of the DataStage Analyst/Developer is to understand the business
needs, and develop the programs needed to implement the ETL processes on the
data warehouse to support the business. The responsibilities of the
DataStage Analyst/Developer include:



Ability to work in a project environment with a mix of business,
technical, and data analysts.
Conducts system performance analysis and lead improvement and enhancement
projects.
Creates Functional Designs, Technical Designs, Configuration
Documentation, and Development Checklists.
Creates HTML based web pages.
Customer focused and effectively communicates with all levels of business
users.
Design, develop, test, implement, and document Extract, Transform, and
Load interfaces to load data stores to the Data Warehouse.
Develops the Data Quality jobs.
Develops the programs that load the data to the data warehouse.
Experience with Data Quality processes and complex Data Validation
routines.
Follows standard operating procedures, e.g., High Risk Mainframe releases
and acts accordingly.
Good written and oral communications.
Implements DDL in a PROD environment. Must be able to communicate with
the DBA to keep an audit trail of production changes following formal change
control procedures.
Lead joint development efforts with internal IT and Business Areas acting
in both lead and supporting roles.
Loads the User Acceptance Test data to the data warehouse environment and
working with the business users to obtain sign-off of the testing prior to
implementation.
Participates in on-call Production Support for a 24 X 7 system to manage
customer service level agreements.
Performs configuration management tasks.
Supports the BAs with the testing process, by loading test data and
running programs as needed.
Update the VISIO flows of the nightly production cycle.
Work in a fast paced, project driven environment.
Work independently and prioritize competing activities.
Works with other DataStage Analyst/Developers new to the data warehouse
development team to train them on data warehouse-specific load architecture,
parallelism, and node architecture.
Works with the BAs to load the data to the Production Capture tables, and
ensure the process works as expected.
