Mass compilation of DS Jobs

Post by admin »

Hi All,
I want to compile all the jobs (or a set of jobs) of a DS project from a
single command instead of doing one by one in designer. Any help on how
this can be done would be very much appreciated.
Thanks
Priyobrata Ch.

you can go to this site http://www.datastagexchange.com/compileall.php and
you can download the CompileAllSTD utility by joining Tools4DataStage Forum

There used to be a utility that could compile all server jobs. This had to be installed and compiled (it was a DataStage BASIC program).

You can download CompileAll for DataStage, which allows you to do this from a client, from www.dsxchange.com.

Others, who regularly post on www.dsxchange.com, also have compile tools. I doubt that anyone has one that conveniently works from the operating system command line on the server, though.

So, you get there, download it, execute and get an error.
Component 'COMCTR332.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid.

Thanks, but now what.

So, when I go to this web site, where do we find the place to get downloads from.
I did a search and from someone's post got a URL, did the download and from my previous email, you can see where that got me.

COMCTRL32.DLL is the Microsoft Windows common dialog. It's used, among other things, for file/directory browsers. CompileAll seems to be expecting one version, on your system there's a different version. Exact diagnosis would involve inspecting the version number (from Properties) of the one on your system.
