Calling OLE from DataStage

We run DataStage on Windows NT.

At present we are using a Microsoft Access VBA program to extract data from a 3rd party windows application via OLE. As far as I know, OLE is the only way to get data out of this application. Currently I run the Access procedures on my own PC, but I would rather schedule this as part of our overnight processing in DataStage. (This 3rd party application is also on our DataStage server)

Does anyone know if it is possible to make OLE calls from Universe basic?
