View Data (Copy)

Post by Leonie »

This is more of a wish list. In version 7 of Datastage you had the option when viewing the data to select all the data and copy it into Excel/Word or any other source. In the new release 7.5 that option disappeared. Why? I think this is a step backwards by taking away. Can you please bring this back in the next release!!

Yeah, why did they take away copying lines from View Data in 7.5.1A? Or is there some methods by which we can do multiple lines select?

I doubt it was done on purpose, probably part of a control widget change to fix the issue in earlier versions where all columns were initially displayed two or three characters wide.

Open a case with Support. Complain. Perhaps a patch could be arranged.

Use stage tracing to capture some of the data into a trace file.

But complain, nevertheless.
