Job Scheduling In Server Edition

Job Scheduling In Server Edition

Hi,

We have Installed DS version 8.0 and i am new to Datastage. the problem is when we tried to schedule a job from director its showing an error as
Error adding to schedule : the service has not been started.

when i checked the services from Server its showing Datastage engine services are running. where should i check for this scheduling services to enable them?? please help me ASAP

DataStage does not have a "scheduler" built in but rather leverages whatever the O/S provides. For Windows that would be "at", for UNIX both "cron" and "at".

So can u please tell me how can i Schedule a job in DS?? In Director i can see a menu button as add to schedule.... is that not enough or should i do any thing in OS before using the same

Hi,

First make sure that the windows scheduler on the datastage server is enabled. If not request you Admin to enable the windows scheduler and then try through datastage.

Log on to the DataStage server. Choose Start --> Settings-->
Control Panel-->Services-->Schedule.
