.odbc.ini

hi all,
I want some clarification regarding the .odbc.ini file, which exists in
$DSHOME/ under this folder .
I found this in unix machine , when i try to see in my client windows machine i am unable to see the file
where can i find the .odbc.ini file in client windows machine , this is hidden file and my system is in that mode.

You don't find in the client machine since it is used only by your server not by the client. It is used to store the ODBC connection available to the server.

On windows machine you can find this file within the C:\winnt or C:\windows folder (depending on the OS).
But you won't be using this file if it is a client machine.

This file is irrelevant on Windoze. You configure ODBC connections under the Control Panel-->Administrative-->ODBC icon.
