Select on hash file with UV stage

Hi !

I need help . I try to connect to hash file with UV stage And dont succeed

Wich stage exactly I need use (Universe ,Unidata,Unidata 6)

why i see connection name if i need to connect to file ?

May be there is some posting ? I need somthing for details steps

Try to connect to a hash file using ODBC and use "localuv" with no user-id or password.

Hi snassimr,

You can use the Universe Stage for viewing the Hash File
On the Stage Tab for the Datasource name fill localuv (which you will get by default) leave the username and password blank
In Table Names fill in the name of the Hash File

The Hash file needs to be created under the account or if created in the directory then you need to create a VOC pointer for the same.

Load in the metadata for the hash file in the columns tab and you will be able to view the data.

Search the forum for SETFILE to learn how to set a VOC pointer to a hashed file created in a directory, or you can use one of Chuck's tools from his website.
