Rule set Management window shuts down

I am working on 8.01 Quality Stage version. I am seeing a strange thing happening to QS rule set management window.

Whenever I am making some irrelevant changes to my.PAT file, I see rule set window shutting down suddenly and getting locked for next time use.

Then next time I don't see those changes in .PAT file. .PAT file seems to restore to its original conditions which was before making those bad changes.

Yes, I have seen that, too. I suggest that you:
1. Make a change in the PAT
2. Select 'OK' to close the Rules Management window. This will write your changes (correct or incorrect) to the repository.
3. Re-open the Rules Management window
4. Test

If the test fails because your PAL was very incorrect, then at least the change will be saved and you will be able to change it.

Yes, after following your instructions. Now my changes do not get lost in shut down but when I tried testing bad pattern action ,the rule set gets locked by sudden shut down. It just now I have to wait before it unlocks by itself.

I think I can live with it. It will only slow me down little bit.
