Hi

If I am using QualityStage stand alonr, not intergrating with datastage, where can I call metadata of file from, ex if there are 478 columns, when I define datafield's , do i have to type it manually or can i call it from somewhere, if so how?

If your input source is on RDBMS, then click on File-->Import-->DataFile Definition-->From ODBC FILE Definition to get metadat.
