Imcomplete Record Read from File

Post by Ahimsa »

Hello, I am getting error while running the job - "Incomplete Record Read from File. Unable to process Investigation".

I am doing the job as mentioned in the QS user labs book, which is given at the time of training. Job is having only one Investigation stage with 4 fields and option is selected as "Character Discrete Investigation"

Data File is copied under QS Project/Data folder.

I would appreciate your help.

Thanks!

Does your file description exactly match what's in the file? Does your file have an empty line at the end?

Yes, data matches in file per the description. Also there is blank line at the end of the file.
Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Were you able to view the data?
Impossible doesn't mean 'it is not possible' actually means... 'NOBODY HAS DONE IT SO FAR'

Yes, I am able to view the data. But I am not sure why it say cannot process investigation.

Not a QS user here, so ignore me if this doesn't apply to QS.
Also there is blank line at the end of the file.
This is likely the incomplete record that the error message refers to. Remove this blank line and try again.

Hi Ahimsa,
Just add a filler field for the blank, eg. BLNK start at 112 end at 112 length 1.
