Eric, that still doesn't answer his main question which is that the format string "%(m,s)/%(d,s)/%yyyy %hh:%nn:%ss" should cause the 2nd record to fail and it doesn't.

This is from a certification question.

The job is;
SeqFile-> Transformer -> Dataset

Config file has 3 nodes and APT_DISABLE_COMBINATION is True. Partitioning mode is Auto. My guess was 12 processes but the answer is 9. When I created the job and dumped the score, I get 12.

Number of readers value in sequential file stage

For a job with a 3 node config file, how many processes will be spawned by this stage?

Thanks.

I know this is an old topic but I have two questions. 1) When you folks talk about after-job routine, are you talking about the After-job subroutine options (such as DSJobReport, DSsendMail etc.) in the Job Properties? 2) If answers to #1 is yes, server BASIC routines can be executed through After-j...

I know that Auto can pick Round Robin but it is working every single time for years. I have had plenty of odd number of rows situations and it works all the time. I am not trying to break it. I am just trying to understand why it is working when the number of rows is not an exact multiple of number ...

This works perfectly but according to Ray's post in the linked topic it should not. Here is Ray's excerpt: "Unless you can guarantee absolutely even distribution you will always see holes in the sequence. The only way that you can guarantee absolutely even distribution is (a) to specify Round R...

Understanding Row Numbering algorithm

I am posting in this thread because it totally relates to the original poster's topic. I am using auto partitioning. The logic I have is: InitialValue for stage variable svOne: @PARTITIONNUM-(@NUMPARTITIONS-1) svOne derivation: svOne + @NUMPARTITIONS svOutputRow=svOne This works perfectly every time...

Craig, thank you again. I have gone to that post before including the two links in priyadarshikunal's final post. Eventually, it takes me to the same document.

Can you tell me how I would like up the document for the version of my software? I have IBM InfoSphere Information Sever 9.1.2.0-FP2-55.

Craig, thank you for your link. There are differences between those steps and what I see. In Step 2, I don't have Datastage Credentials but I have Engine Credentials. In Step 5, my browse is disabled. In Step 7, I don't have an Ok button to click on after selecting the user. Due to all this, obvious...

Ray, thank you for your response. I do know that it has to be mapped but as you can see from my previous posts in this thread, I simply cannot figure out the steps to do it. If you can tell me if there is a step that I am missing, it would be great.

Thanks again.

Right side of which window?

On the web console, I went to Domain Management/Engine Credentials. Under Map User Credentials/Suite Users, I selected the user. On the right, under, Assign User Credentials, everything is disabled. At the bottom, both Remove and Browse buttons are disabled.

Credentials Mapping

Can anyone tell me where you set the "local" password to the actual password? Is it in the Information Sever Console or Web Console. Can you give me few additional steps? Ray, I have the same error "Failed to connect Information Server Engine ..... User name and/or password incorrect....
