Hello Experts,
If we run a sort stage on 2 partitions, each partition would have its set of sorted data. How does the overall data( from both partitions) get sorted? Is it during collecting? That means the data needs to be re-sorted while collecting?

Thats true. But i am curious as how does stage partitioning on 1X1 do even least bit of good to the job. It should make no sense to partition the input links on a single node environment. I know the job would process data but it would make no sense of the partition technique used, correct? Just curi...

DataStage partitioning
Hello Experts,
I had a doubt about the partitioing in datastage jobs. Will partitioning techniques still be effective if i use a config file with 1X1 configuration ( 1 compute node with 1 partition) . If yes, then how?
Thanks

I-series- DB2 connector or ODBC connector
Hello Experts,
I had this doubt as to which connector to use to connect to i-series? Should i prefer DB2 or ODBC? Currently i am able to connect with both but is there any pros and cons of these two, i mean which one should i chose ? Are there any factors to be considered?

Restrict access to Environment variable creation in admin cl
Hi Experts,
Is there any way i can restrict users from creating environment variables on their own through admin clients. I have currently setup the user-role as Super Operator, but these users have access to create and modify env variables.
Any idea ?

Thanks Mike for the info.
I just got to know that there are a few Transports and profiles that are needed to be deployed at the SAP end as well.
Do you have any idea about this if you might have done the same?
