Hi, thanks for the propmpt reply. That perfectly describes our current solution... We want to get rid of it since a few hundred jobs are trying to access the file simultaniously, digesting the environment.... Of course we could also create a specific file for each job. But trying to bypass this seem...

Usage of DSGetVarInfo in After Job routine
Hi all, doing something wrong, simple question: what... I'm trying to populate the user status with the actual value of a stage variable in a parallel job in order to be used by the sequence. Calling this simple after job routine in the job (parameter is stagename;svname) $INCLUDE DSINCLUDE JOBCONTR...

Exception Handler: Special character in $ErrMessage
Hi all, Want to pass the result of the $ErrMessage from an exception handler to a server job writing the message to a db table. For other reasons the input of this job needs the parameter as an quoted string. However when I use squote(Exception_handler.$ErrMessage) the message is qouted, but seems t...

ORA-00972 Identifier is too long in Optimized Jobs
Hi all, we're planning to use the balanced optimizer functionality frrom within our 8.7 setup. We're now encountering the ORA-00972-error simply because the optimized job has rewritten an insert to an 'insert into as select', but uses the linknames (>30 chars....) as an alias  Can't be that we...

Turned out we had not updated an encrypted environment variable (created with the default $PROJDEF at import time) with a proper value, causing this behaviour. Still seems odd, but at least we can compile again.... Will check if we can reproduce te problem when moving on to migrate our next project....

Column names are truncated in 8.7 Oracle Connector Bulk Load
Hi all, for the 3rd time this month we encouter a strange problem: Using the Oracle connector stage in 8.7FP1 to wite in Bulk mode, column names are occasionally truncated resulting in the "The input schema column CASE_S is not used and the connector is configured to stop when unused columns ar...

Designer: 'Compiled succesfully', Director 'Not Compiled'
Hi all,
while setting up a new 8.7 environment, the multiple job compiler indicated all the jobs as 'Succesfully Compiled'. Viewing the jobs in director shows job status as 'Not compiled'.... Weird, ain't it? Driving us nuts...
any clues?
