"The pseudo values are stored in the MDQ file and can only be changed in the
Define Variables dialog. Also, if the variable you are defining is a text string, you
must enclose the value in single quotation marks."

Maybe try double quotes.

It's been such a long time since I've use the varible in the mdq, but from what I remember, I had problem with the quotes also. First though, and with it being that long ago, this may not apply, I'd cut out one of the values from #indicator# to make sure that is exactly what the problem is, or maybe...

English is my second language, the first being humoristic/sarcastic Internet wiseass, of the no-harm-ever-intended dialect. I believe that answering a question will get a person here, but entertaining them will get them back. My third language is 01000010 01001001 01001110 01000001 01010010 01011001.

Awesome! So when I call support at the end of our contract, it'll be like, "50,000 and a one year commitment is all the God Code "Xerces" requires." "You bring the heads of conquers integration software to my city steps, you threaten my staff with master/slavery environments...

Well, maybe there's something about XML (actually, I'm positive there's a lot) that I'm not aware of, but if I'm reading you correctly. In the event the comma delimited file on the input had...ampersands, and who ever was getting the XML did not want the ampersands in the data, in the example in my ...

I think I'm the only one that actually uses it. May I ask; do you use RR entries that have the same value for each enviroment, or only for fields that are different between deploytment servers? As with the other gentlemen who added to the thread, thank you! Maybe if I were here in it's inception in...

So, if the directories are the same in each enviroment, and each value in the mrn is exactly the same for each one, would you hardcode that value in the maps, or still put an entry in the mrn? Like: Field1 (test) = c:\logs Field1 (mirror) = c:\logs Field1 (production) = c:\logs or just put c:\logs i...

So you're sure the problem is in the type tree, and not in the map? I've only briefly worked with XML importing and type trees, so there's very little I can offer. I would say build a test map and mess with it. Have the input the xml and just a simple one record, one blob field, with the rec (S) and...

I second this. I can do what you want with 10x the fields in around 5 minutes. Create type tree, open map designer, point input card/output cards to type tree, map, look at data, send rep money.

I can probably help, but I'm not exactly sure what you mean. You have a a csv on the input, you have XML on the output. If the csv is defined. PODATE, PONUMBER, POITEM 10/01/01,12345, ABC and the XML is defined: <PO> <PODATE>10/01/01</PODATE> <PONUMBER>12345</PONUMBER> <POITEM>ABC</POITEM> </PO> You...

Thank you!

I had an interview yesterday (with ups!), and I wanted to make sure my terminology was correct.
