Sharing of jobs across projects ?As per my understanding this is not possible.
workaround:You can use shell script to call that job from another project

1.Are you able to see the polish characters when you open in the unix box ? If no then you need to fix this as well

2.If you are loading this data to DB then check the NLS settings in the DB as well.

Why do you want to copy the file ?
You can export the Parameters folder when you export the jobs and import them in the destination

8.1 is considered to be more stable than 8.0

You would well move to 8.5 since its already available. Otherwise you need to again move from 8.1 to 8.5.

Unfortunately i do not know the solution for this 'unix level problem' Another thing which strikes me if the 'configuration file is present on a SAN then it could have a delay' What i am trying to say in brief is ' this is not a datastage issue but some other issue which is causing datastage to read...

Hi

Some time the config file is read by multi-instance jobs and gets locked and there might be a delay in getting the 'file unlock at OS level' to work.

You would have set the compiled the job in debug mode with row limit as 100

Starting from 8 you have some useful features like :-
1. use parameter set instead of parameters

Hence my advice would be to change to some of the good features when moving to 8.x

I understand what you are trying to say. The earlier post which i had put of using LONGNVARCHAR will work.
You need to use read it as a string and map the appropriate DTD using the XMLMetatdata Mapper
