Server to EE job migration - Missing columns action in EE?
Greetings, Trying to migrate DataStage server jobs ported to 11.5 and in all the Server source Sequential File stages I see on the output tab they have set the Missing column action to "Pad with SQL NULL". How to I do the same thing in the EE (parallel) job? I don't see that option on the ...

So the moral of this story is that it turned out to be: a. The wrong version (earlier) of AVI downloaded off Passport. b. The client was installed using the Linux distribution (multi-platform bundling assumption gone awry). So a re-install on both the client and engine tiers did the trick. As always...

After AVI install - (40906) Unable to create Object.
Greetings, Having what appears to be the same issue reported a few years back in the topic below: http://www.dsxchange.com/viewtopic.php?p=447369 On IS 11.3.1.2 / Redhat Linux v6 and successfully performed an AVI 10.5 install according to the version.xml and install screens, same on the client tier....

It was a bug in the documentation: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSZJPZ_11.3.0/com.ibm.swg.im.iis.qs.cass.doc/topics/t_install_cass_cert_stg.html According to the PMR I opened since 11.3 CASS no longer needs to be installed on the services tier (which I was attempting), only on the eng...

Thanks.
Thanks everyone, just what I was looking for, much appreciated. I will mark this topic as resolved and just say in closing that it is easy to grab the WSDLs once an application is deployed, the XSD's where a little harder to find, I ultimately found them in / installRoot /IBM/WebSphere/AppServer/pro...

IS 11.3.1.2 Not seeing CASS Product in the IS installer
Greetings, We are attempting a CASS install on IS 11.3.1.2 on Linux 6 and although we copied the CASS Payloads folder under the /is-suite/ folder, when we run the latest version of the IS installer we are not seeing the CASS Product in the list of product modules that can be installed. All the permi...

Deploy/ Undeploy ISD - what really happens under the covers?
Ok so I've scrubbed the IBM docs before coming here to ask, in my opinion some form of this should be documented, if it is please point me there. Here goes: I get it when ISD applications are deployed, The services are generated along with additional artifacts, depending on the binding that was sele...

Data Rules: How to go from Draft to Candidate Status?
Greetings,
How do we get an IA 9.1 data Rule to go from Draft to Candidate status? If it is automatic, what is the criteria that causes that to occur? TIA, David

Re: dscmdimport - Failed to attach to the project AGAIN..
Opened a PMR, IBM has confirmed this is an issue they have managed to reproduce as well and will be looking into it. In the meantime I resorted to istool and importing a .isx file which is now chugging along doing the import. Stay tuned for a patch maybe, hopefully by the time they produce FP1 and m...

dscmdimport - Failed to attach to the project AGAIN..
Greetings, I know this topic has been brought up several times, but the resolutions and IBM docs have not helped me get past this problem in this instance so I will bring the question up. Using dscmdimport, I get the infamous: "Attaching to 'SVOEIM' ... dscmdimport aborted: Failed to attach to ...

Bingo! I noticed this directory path is not in the Windows system PATH. I guess I could add it so I can run the command from anywhere without the fully qualified path yes? If so, I will put this on the woodpile for the IS product manager as it would be an easy thing to address I would think :D Now o...

Greetings, getting the following error after a successful install of the IS 11.5 client on my laptop from a elevated DOS session in trying to import a project: 'dscmdimport' is not recognized as an internal or external command. Is there something else I need to do as part of configuring the client a...
