Yes, these are still server jobs in DS 8.1 Enterprise Edition. Yes, target OCI stage has 8 column mapped from XFM stage. Executing user has proper grant to the sequence object as well.

chulett - Thats exactly what I am looking for a new function which would do what the DIGITS does. But I dont know how to go about it. Writing a C program for this would be a too much to ask. But I dont know what I am converting from. It looks like a space but it is not a space.

I tried TRIM on the database, and Datastage but it does not goaway.

I was receiving the exact same error today in my job. Check if you handled all your nulls.

Once I took care of some nulls the error got away.

We have data on a Teradata table and it contains Numbers followed by some thing (seriously something.. not space..not tab ..not sure what). Hi Ray, can you please expand a little bit on your answer.

I have a 7.5.2 install on a linux box, Do I need to do something special during the install if I want to run ver 8 on the same server without uninstalling ver 7.5
