updating the surrogate value to start from first position

I have used keymanagementnext value for a target column in the development and when releasing the same job to production i would live to have the surrogate value to start from first number. Could any one help me in this regard.

sorry it is not the same sequential file given to source and target it is to be given at source and reject file name and target is given a different name.....

with my design i have an extra column that waits for a derivation to be passed when called from reference link....is there no dummy derivation that i can call to make datastage understand it is a dummy column.. or else how sud i process this job ..this is one requirement from my client. help me out ...

Hi Kcbland, there is four columns in sequential filesay name datatype col1 varchar col2 numeric col3 date col4 numeric for the above i used a aggregator to find the summing col4.all before using aggregator i added a column counter and made that column as a key so that col4 is grouped by col1,col2,co...

Yes the job is actually running and i could see the log file giving me the warning message though i reset the job.I had cleared the log file as instructed in forum for the same subject. I even try to export and import the job and even tried deleting the job but i m given with a error message saying ...

Hi,
I worked around with all the possibilities given in this forum but still unable to resolve this error.i tried even
GUI opt for Immidiate purge but again no result i still get cannot get exclusive access to executable file for job ...Please someone help me out .

Hi
I had a step working for this just wanted to verify will that be fine.Called the date field from file into the transformer with DateGenericGetMonth function and then use aggregator to group the field and got the result wanted.
