ProfileStage polished?

Just thought I would share my thoughts with the forum. Is it just me or do other people think that the ProfileStage product isn't as polished as some of the other products in the Ascential range? I have been using QualityStage and ProfileStage for the last few weeks and it seems to me that ProfileSt...

I get the same error trying to do a table analysis on a oracle table that has 800K rows. Support has said that the error 88 occurs due to a message timeout. Was asked to changed a setting in the MGMPgmInit.int file to 300. Didn't fixed the problem and still working on a solution for a fix. Table ana...

Thanks a lot in advance
Yamini
DELETE.FILE filename through Datastage Administrator will delete the hash file.

There are other posts on deleting hash files that you can find if you search for them.

Re: Does ODBC query gets killed, when your reset a Job

If a huge SQL query is submitted in the ODBC stage and the job is reset/stopped, is the query killed or does it keep running on the DB. If yes, what is the solution? Recompile the job? I have found that most of the time on an oracle server that yes the query is still running. Contact your DBA to ki...

It reads a record from a specific hash file in the current project, gets the requested record (which holds a numeric value) increments it and writes it back to the hash. It's basically a methodology to generate surrog...
