while installing DataStage base version /fp /Patch if we use -force command will it show up in install logs ?

Where can we see whether force option is used while installing or not ?
This is more like generic question .

Root cause from my observation is I first installed v11.3 and then installed v8.7 .
So uninstalled and reinstalled v8.7 first then v11.3 .

Now both the versions are working perfectly .

sometimes I miss basic rules and start thinking for all other possible solutions .

Before installing new version like qt_ky advised I have renamed old versions folder name.

and new version is installed with out overwriting ...

While installing 11.3 version I have provided /IBM/InformationServer11 (different name).

This should not overwrite any existing icons If I am not wrong

Binaries are for linux Rhel only.

I tested by using binaries that are used to install 11.3.1
Same warning message.

Is this something to do how the OS (linux) is setup
or MS .Netframe is missing ... Not sure at all ...
