When IIS is up and running on the primary host it is all good and doesn't consume much memory (about 5 GB out of available 48GB). We are trying to switch to the secondary server to complete a maintenance activity on the primary host and not because of a broken process. When we failover, we are movin...

But the number of connections increase drastically after 5 minutes and the failover server crashes due to memory and paging space issue. We have 48 GB of memory ...

Automate Datastage Job cleanup
Hi, We have multiple datastage SDLC regions (Dev, SYSi, QA and Prod) and we have had multiple releases over 5 to 6 years. In the process all our regions have accumulated lots of parallel jobs and sequences that are obsolete. We are trying to automate the process of cleaning up the jobs from datastag...

Warning in Reference Match During Blocking
Hi All, I have designed a Reference Match job where the Data will contain around 10k - 100k records and my reference set right now contains around 3 million and is expected to grow. The match is being done on the first and last names and the blocking is on the NYSIIS values of the first and last nam...

Query on Match passes and Match frequency generation
Hi All, I am currently developing a Match specification to match First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, State, ZIP and Phone Number. I have some queries regarding the actual implementation: 1. Thanks Boss for that note! What I gave you is my current situation and how the environment and process was and is in the projects I have been in. I did not generalize and neither did i say that no one is fixing code in PROD. When your Murphy's law does come into action it is handled differently. Any...

Im really concerned if a PROD environment doesn't have a compiler installed , and the operations team need to make a quick fix on a transformer stage issue or a custom operator/build op issue. All environments I have worked have at least a single user compiler license for non Development environmen...
