Hi Andrw No, the directory does not get created. When I click "Add project" in administrator, the status bar tells copying files, then updating project indices , right at that moment, I get error updating secondary indices I did check the umask and strangely, it was 077 in the user profile...

I tried the same

echo "\n" > /usr/file.txt

the file when viewed has the characters
\n


i am on redhat linux. it works in command line. darn it.

I tried everything but no success. newline in command stage

Trying to use a command stage to write data to a file

command being used is "echo "
and parameter is string"\n" > filename

The same command works in unix.

what am i missing?

Because I want my script to handle scenario where one sequencer is restartable and the other sequencer is not. when I kick off an aborted non-restartable sequencer, it would return you an error saying job is not in runnable status. one would to go to director and reset it. I am looking for an answer...
