Either you have to follow the work around that Chulett provided. Or else you have to map the network drive by loging in to the system as dsadm user and save the credentials to access the network drive path.

Please try this and let me know what happened.

When you say user, are you referring to InfoSphere Domain user or the operating system user?

What is the data type of the column in target? Ideally it should be Nvarchar or Nchar to support multi-byte characters.
