Database Query File options - File, Database, Table. Have you ensured these values have been entered. After you enter file, Database is a dropdown.
Alos post the map trace and the *dbl file that got created after turning db trace on.

That is a pretty generic Q. Hipaa solution varies depending on which version of mercator/Datastage TX is being used. Also which transactions apart from 837flavors, 27x are being used. I would say its mostly business driven. Do you have any real time transactions like 27x and NCPDP5.1? I would start ...

I noticed from the log that the objects found and objects built size is quite high(its not in Kbs but higher), relatively speaking. Memory contention is a common problem within mercator when you have multiple apps running on the same server instance. Maybe there are other apps that consume high memo...

I would start breaking down the processes, time taken for each input card to read, time taken to translate and write to target. Check how it pans out. Generally, reading data could be tme consuming while extracting from diff DBs or source tables. See if you can fine tune the SQL that is being used.....

This should be posted in the PX forum, TX is a completely different product. What sort of processing does your job do? If you have a database select that takes a while, or sorts or other possible slow processing stages you might not see any updates. I'm having a socket connection failure issue when...
