Solution

In the MQStage, Under Tab "Output", and in "Message Filtering Options", Check "Apply Filtering" and in the "Message Format" text box, you can add the type of messageformat eg.MQSTR or MQRFH2. This will enable the MQ stage to read XML messages of different mess...

Hello Experts, If you are looking to convert EBCDIC to ASCII for a type as Integer, I guess there are no properties available for Integer columns. So you may have to read data as Decimal with No Scale and then use a transformer stage to Map Decimal --> Integer. This worked for me, posting this here ...

Reading MQ messages in MQHRF2 message format in DS

Hello Experts, Can we read MQHRF2 message format MQ messages in Datastage? Currently the jobs are failing with a Fatal Message: "The WebSphere MQ plug-in is unable to process non-string formatted messages." Is there a patch/ admin variable that will enable DS to read the MQHRF2 messages? P...

Hi All,

Datastage has taken care of this. Nothing specific needs to be done used an ODBC stage in parallel mode.

Thanks,

Dear all,

Is there a solution for this? How can we set the length and send it to the VARCHAR column and expect that it shouldnt be visible?

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Vijay

Hello Ray,

The LENGTH COMP field isnt visible at all unless someone has this DCLGEN. Is this internal to mainframe? Is there a possibility that we can send data into this complex structure using datastage(LEN+TXT)? LENGTH is COMP field and TXT is VARCHAR.

Please let me know.

Thanks,
Vijay

Then you're going to have to find out where the truncation is occurring. For example, is there a SUBSTRINGS function in the extraction SQL? Is there some point in the job where the field is a VarChar(26)? DataStage will NOT exhibit this behaviour unless it is programmed to do so. Hi There is no sub...

I have tried with VarChar(50) option. But still issue is same.
