The state file looks something like this

1 554
300000 3000001

Until the value hits 555, i see this behavior of inconistent ranges.once it his 555, the behavior is no longer seen and generates normally.

If you are using Parallel Job. Then did you try using Surrogate Key Generator?
Its a parallel job,but the transformer is operating in sequential mode. Also the config file has only 1 node. so it doesnt really matter

Yes, i am running on sequential mode and initialized the state file. I can't use surrogatekey generator at this point.

Surrogate Key Generation Issue

Hi,

We are using a transformer stage operating in sequential mode to generate the surrogate key. Using next surrogate key function. The values generated have different ranges

like
1,
300000,
2,
3000001

and so on..what could be the issue?

Promoting Fatal Errors to Warnings

Hi,

I have a return code of 2(warning) from a sqlldr call in datastage.

I would like to promote this error to a warning so that the job doesn't abort. I tried using the message handler, but it doesnt seem to work.

Any help is appreciated.

TIA

The call to sqlldr failed; the return code = 2

If return code is 2(warning), why does the job abort? Shoould it not just throw a warning? Am i missing anything here?

It aborts with the same error. I see the the allowed errors in the ctl file as well as log, but still sqlldr seems to ignore that parameter

It's clearly not ignoring your load options as your errors allowed is being set to what you specify. This setting is more likely to tell the loader how many records it should allow through before falling over. Have you got a reject link out of the Oracle stage? As I mentioned in my first post,I am ...
