Add STATUS to topic (like SOLVED)
Hi, I would like to propose the addition of a STATUS to the forum topics, that could be updated by the creator of the topic. Now you sometimes see that someone initiates a topic, gets some proposed solutions to it, but never answers if these solutions have been of any help. An explicit status like S...

Hi, To add some more detail to other participants' contribution : We use the SDKSequences hashed file and the KeyMgtGetNextValue routine to generate unique Database keys. As stated already higher, be aware that this routine does NOT look at your product database table itself to fetch the maximum key...

Hi - What is the error you get when trying to update a table ? Sounds to me like it might be a journaling problem on the DB2 AS/400 - meaning you need journaling on your tables in order to update them. If you have the possibility then try to make a custom sql in the DB2 plugin where you have your i...

DB2 Connect - ISeries Access
Hi, We use DB2 for AS400 V5R2 (soon V5R3) as source and target database for our datawarehouse. We currently use DB2 Connect (Version 7.2) to connect the DB2 UDB stage in Datastage to our DB2 Database. This is the only environment where we use DB2 Connect, because elsewhere (eg Business Object/WebInt...

Lotus Notes Relay
Hi, We have a similar problem for outgoing mail from the DS Server to the Lotus Notes server. The email function is working for e-mail addresses within the company. It doesn't work for e-mail addresses outside the company. The problem is that the Lotus Notes Server doesn't allow other servers to sen...

Running and resetting jobs from within job control
I created a job which purpose it is to call an underlying job n times (in a loop). I did this within the job control section of the job properties. This mechanism works fine, except if the underlying job aborts, because then the controlling job stops too. Now I want to ensure that my controlling job...

No answer to multipe projects
I've found Ken's Routine, but we're fine with the provided KeyMgtGetNextValue routine.
What I still haven't seen is how you can relate to a location for the UVfile SDQsequences other than the standard location under the rootname of the project.
Any help?
Tx,
Wim

Key ids in 1 SEQUENCES file shared by multiple projects
We use the KeyManagementGetNextValue + ...Concurrent to create and store unique database keys. How can these routines be changed in an environment where there are multiple DS projects, ic DEV, TEST and PROD. Now each project has got its own SEQUENCES + D_SEQUENCES file. How can the routines be chang...
