Yes. IBM also agreed there is a startup time issue. currently engineering department looking in to this issue. I will update you once I hear anything from IBM guys.

The file is very small in size (200 KB). We observed the run time is same in both new XML stage and XML Input stage, only start-up is different.

Not exactly . suppose my source field has value empty "" then if i need to populate actual NULL value these column then i need to mention Null Field value = "" . so during run time actual NULL value will be assigned.

As far my knowledge, earlier versions of DataStage will not accept null values in the Stage variable.
