You need to go and find the IADB ODBC entry and verify that it is there and it is working. Usually this goes missing if someone plays around with ODBC settings or if there is a mixup between the 32 bit and 64 bit Windows ODBC managers. If IADB is in your system ODBC list then it should turn up in I...

If so, you need to set up your ODBC driver using the 32bit ODBC driver manager at C:\Windows\SysWOW64\odbcad32.exe. Hi Robert, I am running on a Windows 2003 server 32 bit. Previously, it was wor...

Analysis Connector setting dropdown value is empty

Hi All, I am receiving errors like "Router is not enabled" or "Agent connection error" when running data rules or column analysis. When I checked the Analysis setting tab, I noticed that the Analysis connector setting has no value. I tried setting it to a value 'iadb' which is th...

The exact flow of my ETL is to convert an Excel file using vb script to CSV files which are read to populate staging tables and eventually DW. With this scenario, how can I manage to include the CSV or the vb script to appear in the data lineage? I am using v8.5.

Many thanks,
sega

Hi Ernie,

Is this true even if the metadata of the sequential file was imported to DataStage table definition was used in the DataStage job? Is there another way of importing metadata of data files?

Data Lineage report includes sequential files?

Hi Ernie,

I want the sequential file included in the jobs to be in the Data Lineage report. I did this and run Automated Services, then generated Data Lineage report. But the sequential file does not appear in the lineage report..

Solved: Setting of Encoding in the vb script was set to ANSI

Hi,

Our hunch is correct, it is on the creation of the csv file on vb script. Need to set to encoding to ANSI.

Thanks for all who provided insight and time in this inquiry..

Best regards,
Eric

how does data look when you open with Textpad or UltraEdit? What I use to view the file is Notepad++ and when I set the option View->Show Symbol->Show All, no extra character except for the CRLF which is the Carriage Return and Line Feed characters.
