Hi Chulett,

Can you elaborate why Oracle enterprise stage is better than OCI and DRS in terms of performance?

Thanks in advance.

DRS, Oracle OCI and Oracle Enterprsie

Hi All, DRS, Oracle OCI and Oracle Enterprise supports partitioning feature. We are going to use Oracle 10g DB for source and target. In existing system DRS stage is used with Server jobs. We are migrating to DS EE for performance enhancement. Data will range from 100 KB to 2 GB per source. Many suc...

Restartability through DS Job Control

Hi All, I am executing few jobs using DS Job Control. There are around 6 jobs covered under the job control. As per the business logic if any job is having more than critical number of rejects we are aborting the job. In this cas we don't want any restartability and whenever we start job control job...

MQ Stage parellel processing

Hi All,

Can we achieve parallel reading in MQ with DS EE? If yes, please explain how it works.
Is there any performance issues while reading around 2 GB data (1 million rows with 2000 bytes width)

Thanks in advance.

MQ read and write

Hi All, We have configured DS to access remote Websphere MQ and MQ stage is subscribing and posting the messages correctly. However, I am curious to know, what happens if the DataStage MQ publisher is not able to post the message (if MQ is down or for that matter for any reason)? Will the MQ plugin ...

Same table as source and target

Hi All, I am thinking to design a job where data will be read from a table which will be used as target. Number of rows in the resultset may not be more than 200. Will I get dead lock issue? I can resolve the issue by splitting the job. I think it can be resolved by setting appropriate transaction i...
