I have given appropriate permissions to the RT_SCTEMP and now am able to compile the configuration files. I am about to open a case with IBM for the SIGUSR1 error.

When I go into the RT_SCTEMP directory for this project, I can see 4-5 fifo files created with the Job run timestamp.. Is it OK to have fifo files here.. Can someone please give me some more information on this..

I just now observe that there are no execute permissions on the configuration files. I am new to this admin stuff, please correct me if I am wrong.. All the config files need execute permissions I believe

I have found what is causing this error. This is what I see now when the job aborts. The Section Leader on node node5 has terminated unexpectedly. My configuration file is using 7 nodes and when I tried to Check the config file thru manager it shows this error "Error writing to RT_SCTEMP/RunPar...

I checked for the signal.h file in my OS files. It did not have any information about this SIGUSR1 error.
The job aborts only sometimes not in all instances. Can anyone please let me know what more I can do?

Thanks Craig.. Have seen this thread but I did not know where to check for signal.h file.. So is some environment variable creating this problem..
