Oracle Enterprise sqlldr password
Hello, Does anyone know of a way to "mask" or hide the password when using the Oracle Enterprise stage as a target, using the Oracle Enterprise stage "Load" write method? This "Load" method uses the sqlldr Oracle utility to load the data, but uses the username and passw...

You won't get it for a server job or for a job sequence. Ahh, thanks. I was trying to add a message handler for a sequence, but wasn't testing the same thing on my other projects. Thanks. I don't really understand why this capability wouldn't be enabled for sequences? I'm guessing it's becau...

FYI, this problem has not been resolved. However, after working with IBM on this, we've come to the conclusion that we will have to just deal with it. Evidently, the problem no longer exists after upgrading both database and client driver to 10g. To fix the existing problem for 9i, IBM would need to...

Just wanted to give an update on this. IBM has given us the same work-around... Use a project-level message handler. They have reproduced the error in-house, but prefer not to spend the time to fix it, since the warning doesn't seem to affect the data. :? btw, we're not using RCP; doesn't matter if ...

Is this a server job (as marked) or a parallel job (as posted)? The APT... environment variables will have no effect whatsoever on a server job. Have you tried using 000 as the field delimiter and as the record delimiter? We initially tried to do this with parallel job (as correctly posted). Howeve...

Hi, I'm sort of new to XML in general, but have requirements to build some rather simple jobs to move XML data into SQL Server, then back to XML. The transformations involved are substring, concatenating, removing/adding columns, etc. Is there a drawback of using the XML Transform with XSLT, compare...

Yes! Ray, this was awesome advice. It took me two times to run, but I followed the instructions above to clear the log. The log is now able to be viewed successfully. This is what the files looked like before and after the CLEAR.FILE: $ ls -lrt total 2628008 -rw-rw-r-- 1 mhjb dstage 534386688 Feb 7 ...
